Bowling Green Regional Public Safety Training Center (Request for Qualifications) *Design-Build*
Design and construction of the new training center. The proposed facility is anticipated to contain approximately 8,000 10,000 GSF and will be constructed on City-owned property. The facility's primary component will be a 6- to 10-lane indoor firearms range extending to 25 yards. The range will accommodate both pistol and 5.56 mm rifle training, with an anticipated use of approximately 50,000 to 60,000 rounds annually, divided approximately equally between pistol and long-gun ammunition. The range should provide both a fixed firing line/rail and move-and-shoot capability. It must also accommodate action targets and large training props, including vehicles.
