Information Technology (IT) Asset Disposal Services

Description: Shawnee Mission School District seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive IT asset disposal services for its 56 school and support locations. The proposed contract has an initial one-year term beginning January 1, 2027, with up to four one-year renewals, and covers secure data sanitization to NIST 800-88, collection, transport, documented resale or recycling, collection containers, and R2v3 certification and audit reports. Proposals are due November 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. (questions are due October 28, 2026), with evaluation focused on experience, service approach, asset resale, reporting, and cost.

Information Technology Asset Disposition and Related Services RFP
Solution for the collection, transportation, and recycling of unusable computer and electronic equipment and/or recovery of component materials, which must be serviced in an environmentally sound manner that is in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international environmental and safety laws and treaties, including but not limited to the Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act (415 ILCS 150/). The District has computer equipment, including CRT monitors and televisions that are unusable and which should not enter waste streams through incineration or landfill. Historical recycling material amounts are listed in Attachment G, actual amounts collected will vary. Term of Agreement: February 1, 2027 through January 31, 2029. This contract shall have two (2) options to renew for periods of one (1) year each. See attached file.
