The selected vendor will manage comprehensive emergency medical services (EMS) and first responder fee billing and collections, including claim processing and submission to Medicare, Medi-Cal, private insurance, and patients for 911 ambulance transports (1,429 transports in 2025 across ALS, BLS, and TNT classifications); customer service and patient support with Spanish multilingual capabilities; accounts receivable, denial, and refund management; integration with the City's electronic health record (EHR) system; California EMS reimbursement support (VRRP, IGT, PP-GEMT, and AB 716 compliance); and monthly financial reporting.
