The board convened to conduct township business, which included appointing a clerk pro tem. The primary action taken was the adoption of Resolution 26-81, which authorizes the rental of temporary housing for fire station 211 renovations directly through the vendor Willscot, bypassing a previously considered intermediary to avoid additional processing fees.

The board discussed financing strategies for a new fire station, including the use of TIF funds and the potential benefits of hiring a financial advisor. A proposed sidewalk maintenance policy was reviewed, along with the potential lifting of a moratorium on recreational marijuana facilities, which involved zoning discussions and revenue considerations. The trustees also decided to adopt a six-month moratorium on data centers following county guidance. Public input was received regarding parking regulations for commercial equipment, surveillance camera usage, and sidewalk repairs. Additionally, the trustees passed resolutions approving open purchase orders, new fire department personnel appointments, temporary housing for fire station renovations, and a change order for Heroes Park. A resolution regarding part-time fire department pay rates was tabled for further review.
The board authorized the administrator to execute all necessary documents for the sale of property located at 2659 Tylersville Road, following a previous sale that failed to close.
The Board of Township Trustees adopted resolutions related to the Fairfield Township Police District. These actions included the declaration of necessity to levy an additional tax in excess of the ten-mill limitation to support police department operations, equipment, and personnel. The Board requested certification from the County Auditor regarding tax valuations and revenue projections, authorized the submission of the tax levy question to the electors, and finalized the ballot language for an upcoming election.
