This strategic plan outlines the direction for the Division of Procurement Services, focusing on a five-year period. It aims to cultivate knowledgeable and customer-focused staff, enhance customer relations, and establish consistent, efficient practices to achieve statewide and national leadership. The plan details the organization's core functions, including establishing statewide contracts, providing centralized purchasing, publishing contracting opportunities, serving as a Building Code Official, offering procurement resources and training, resolving disputes, and ensuring transparency and integrity in public money expenditure. Its mission is to efficiently acquire information technology, construction, goods, and services, while providing guidance, oversight, and advice to promote integrity and compliance.
The meeting included updates to LEED & Green Globes. USGBC is committing to a five-year development cycle for LEED starting with LEED V5 in 2025 and the next release in 2030. Green Globes is still using both NC 2013 and NC 2021. NC 2013 will sunset in the summer of 2024. All new projects not registered prior to this date will have to use NC 2021. Several people asked for more information on the major differences between LEED v4 & v5 as well as the major differences between NC 2013 and NC 2021.
