The commission held a public hearing to discuss proposed amendments to the subdivision regulations regarding open space requirements. A primary topic was the limitation of inland wetlands, tidal wetlands, and watercourses counting toward the mandated 10% open space requirement. Commissioners debated a proposal to cap the wetland portion of this open space at 2.5%, aiming to balance land conservation with developable land availability. The commission discussed how this amendment might impact future subdivision development and land protection.
